Public Safety

Resilient 911

Guaranteed emergency call delivery and E911 compliance for life-safety lines.

Resilient911 (R911) ensures the survivability of critical voice communications at Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) and Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) when telecom networks are compromised.

Resilient911: a 911 call travels from the caller through the originating central office, the selective router and the central office serving the PSAP. Teleira adds wired and wireless broadband diversity and satellite broadband diversity into the PSAP, with analog delivery on backup phones.ALL TRUNKS UP · 911 CALLS VIA THE CENTRAL OFFICE911 CALLERORIGINATINGCENTRAL OFFICESRSELECTIVE ROUTERCENTRAL OFFICESERVING PSAPPSTNINTERNETWIRED / WIRELESS BROADBAND DIVERSITYSATELLITE BROADBANDDIVERSITYPSAPTRIAD911 SWITCHANALOG DELIVERY ON BACKUP PHONES

Communications Control

Your Center is in control to deliver inbound and outbound telecommunications through existing Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and/or alternate locations or Mobile Command Units.

Diversity of Communications

R911 combines satellite, broadband, and cloud-based technologies into a fault-tolerant solution that complements, expands, and enhances your Emergency Operations Plan.

Continuity of Operations

Keeping you connected when you need it most, during disasters, outages, or system failures, makes the public you serve safer.

Standard Support/Compliance

When an outage occurs, Resilient911 applies multiple restorative strategies depending on the level and type of incident. These strategies all meet or support meeting aspects of the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) Service Capability Criteria Rating Scale as published by NENA/APCO. Supported categories of ANS APCO/NENA ANS 1.102.3-2020:

  • 2.2.5 Access to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)
  • 2.2.7 Emergency Communications Plans are in Place for Risks Associated with Local Vulnerabilities
  • 2.2.9 Schedule and Conduct Drills to Exercise Emergency Communication Plans
  • 2.2.10 Trunking/Transport Path Management
  • 2.2.13 Redundancy of Mission Critical Systems or Subsystems
  • 2.2.25 Ability to Call Forward Administrative Lines
  • 2.2.26 Ability to Re-route 9-1-1 Trunks or Lines, or the Broadband Access Paths in NG9-1-1

CSRIC Best Practice 12-9-3238

The Resilient 911 solution also supports FCC Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC) compliance. Where the ability to deliver 9-1-1 calls to the PSAP through normal routing is interrupted by a failure, consider forwarding the call over wireless public, private networks, or satellite-based services to provide an additional alternate path to the PSTN, or as an alternate call delivery path for the voice component of 9-1-1 calls.
